Vigar's three home runs powers Ward's

The Tillsonburg ladies slo-pitch schedule wrapped up last week and playoffs will commence this week.

This year the league will not split into three divisions for playoffs. It's been decided that the top two teams in both divisions will receive first round byes. Reseeding will then take place for semifinals.

The men's league still has some rescheduled games to make up this week. Haines Roofing and Cain's Pelicans have clinched the A and C Divisions respectively. The B loop is up for grabs as Domino's Hounds can catch DeGroote-Hill if they win their last two games.

Men's A

IC Waters won in walk-off fashion pulling within three points of fifth place Survivors. Maple View Variety pulled into a tie for second with Roosters after beating IC Waters by nine.

Veteran Kevin Miller homered for the winners. Ryan Miller drove in four runs.

Robert Q Travel 13

Robert Q: Joe Thorburn 3-4, Nick Russell 3-5 HR, Cody Quinney HR, Josh Stubbs 2 HRs, Bryan DeBlaire HR, Matt Bilgar HR

Jeff Cadotte had the walk-off RBI for IC Waters. Steve Leacock homered three times and drove in eight.

Men's B

Ontario Laser Spartans finally beat first place DeGroote-Hill for the first time ever, holding on for an 11-8 victory.

Domino's Hounds continue to be on the rise after beating GC Lounsbury by five. Domino's can clinch first if they win their remaining games against GC Lounsbury and Bill's Pizza Kekambas.

Next Realty are climbing the standings after edging Kirwin and Oatman and beating Destroyers. GC Lounsbury and Kekambas had easy wins over Spartans and John Beere respectively.

Domino's broke open a close game after a six-run fifth. Mike Bouck and Craig Todt homered in the rally.

Kirwin Oatman: Shaine Hall 2-2, Rob Smith 2-3

Steve Derks doubled in Blair Myers in the fifth for Next's winning run.

Travis Nikin and Mike Vanwynsberghe each hit three-run homers for GC Lounsbury.

Men's C

Corey's Restaurant had an impressive 10-6 win over B's GC Lounsbury last week.

Ward's Automotive piled up the runs against Stickmen. Destroyers were impressive in an upset win over third place Delhi Dodgers.

Adam Smith's triple was the only extra base hit for Corey's.

Destroyers went yard five times. Adam McCutchen drove in five.

Ward's: Mike Mudford 5-5, Connor Smith 5-5, Chad Vigar 3 HRs

Stickmen: Andrew Patenaude 3-4, Kyle Mayo 3-5

Chad Vigar had a two-run homer, three-run homer, and a grand slam for Ward's.

John Beere 22,

Destroyers 21

Destroyers: Jesse Temple 5-5 HR, Ross Russell 4-5 2 HRs

Bryan Granger had the walkoff two-out double in John Beere's two-run seventh.

Ladies A

Great Lakes Physio – Corey's and Eichenberg's finished one-two and will sit out the opening round of the Tillsonburg Ladies Slo-Pitch playoffs.

Orange Crush will take on EMI Steelerz, while the other matchup will pit Jays against ServiceMaster. Both will be best of three series.

Ladies B

Hollister KIA and Challengers received byes, Focus will take on Camo, and the other series will be Ritchie's vs Energy Productions in best of threes.
