Traffic stop leads to drug seizure in Tillsonburg

A traffic stop on Wednesday led to the seizure of drugs and the arrest of three Tillsonburg men.

Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement West Unit (DEU) and Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), with the assistance of the Oxford County OPP members, conducted a traffic stop in Tillsonburg on Wednesday, July 9 at approximately 2:45 p.m. The traffic stop led to the seizure of drugs. A search warrant was then executed by OPP DEU, CDAT, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) members at an apartment on Lisgar Avenue on July 9 shortly after 8:30 p.m.

The warrant and traffic stop led to the seizure of suspected Methamphetamine, Cannabis Marihuana Bud, Cannabis Marihuana Plants, Oxycodone pills, and Ritalin pills, with an approximate street value of $1,045.

Charged with the following is:

Mark Blakley, 36 years, of Tillsonburg: Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA); Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone – CDSA (2 counts); Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cannabis Marihuana -CDSA; Produce a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana -CDSA; Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Weapon – Knife – Criminal Code of Canada (CCC); Possess Weapon contrary to Prohibition Order – CCC; Driving While Disqualified –CCC

Robert Post, 37 years, of Tillsonburg: Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA); Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone – CDSA (2 Counts); Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cannabis Marihuana -CDSA; Produce a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana -CDSA; Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Weapon – Knife – Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

Mark Rossignol, 23 years, of Tillsonburg: Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – CDSA; Possession of a Schedule III substance – Ritalin – CDSA; Produce a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – CDSA.

Blakley and Post were held for bail hearings, and are scheduled to appear in Woodstock Court. Rossignol was released on a Promise to Appear with a future Woodstock Court date.
