Marijuana bust on Broadway

Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – West Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Oxford County OPP and OPP Emergency Response Team members, conducted a search warrant at a residence on Broadway in Tillsonburg on Friday, July 4.

The warrant led to the seizure of 62 grams of suspected cannabis marihuana bud, and 24 suspected cannabis marihuana plants.

OPP arrested and charged two people as a result of this investigation. Charged with the following are a 58-year-old man and 55-year-old women, both of Tillsonburg: Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana; and Produce a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana.

Both were release on a Promise to Appear and an Officer in Charge Undertaking with a future court date in Woodstock.

Erratic driver charged on Culloden Line

On Sunday, July 6 at approximately 5:17 p.m. members of Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police responded to numerous driving complaints regarding an erratic driver travelling northbound on Culloden Line.

As a result of their investigation, police have charged 52-year-old female of South-West Oxford Township under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following: Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle; Fail to Stop at Scene of accident; and Driving While Ability Impaired.

The female was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on August 19, 2014.
