Library Lane

School’s out and the library has boredom busters for kids of all ages!

There is still time to register for the Summer Reading Club, open to kids ages 0-to-12. This year’s theme is “Eureka!” and focuses on creativity, discovery and ideas. There are weekly programs and lots of special events, including a chance to meet Scooter and Dolly, two of Tillsonburg’s most special skunks, a visit from acclaimed author E.K. Johnston, and a drawing workshop with Karlene Ryan. These activities are all free to registered Summer Reading Club participants, but some require registration so stop by the library soon to reserve a spot!

SUMMER BOOK BINGO

Too old for the regular Summer Reading Club? Why not try Summer Book Bingo! Teens ages 13-to-17 can come by and pick-up a Bingo card full of amazing teen titles, and the game is easy: read a line of books and you’ll win a free book of your choice! You can read up to three lines to get three free books, so get started today! Teens are also welcome to join us for Improv-a-palooza on July 23, when acting coaches from London’s Palace Theatre will be at the library to teach about the art of improv. If you love acting or are interested in trying something new, this may be the program for you! Open to teens ages 13-17, registration is required.
