Break-ins in Norwich, assault charges in South-West Oxford
BREAK AND ENTERS IN NORWICH
Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating three residential break and enters that occurred in Norwich, between June 6-8.
Between June 6, 10 a.m. and June 7, 12 a.m., unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered a residence on Carmen Street in Norwich. Value of the items taken was approximately $2,500. The items taken included:
* Xbox game console and four controllers
* Acer laptop computer (silver)
* STIHL concrete saw (orange).
Between June 7, 6 p.m. and June 7, 10:30 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Stover Street in Norwich. Value of the items taken was approximately $500. The items taken included:
* 16GB iPhone with black and dark grey Otterbox case
* Armani men’s silver watch
* Set of various keys on key ring
Also between June 7, 4 p.m. and June 8, 5:30 p.m., unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered a residence on Main Street in Norwich. Value of the items taken was approximately $4,000. The items taken included:
* iMac desktop computer
* 17 inch computer screen
* Toshiba laptop
* Various jewellery
Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for these incidents should immediately contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority. SWOX NEIGHBOUR DISPUTE RESULTS IN FIVE CHARGES
Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a neighbor dispute at a residence on Zorra Line at approximately 3:30 p.m. on June 8.
As a result of police investigation it was discovered that an altercation had taken place. A 51-year-old Zorra Township man was arrested and has been charged with the following:
* Assault with a Weapon (2 Counts)
* Assault Causing Bodily Harm
* Assault
* Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
* Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The man was held in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing.
