The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred on Delevan Crescent in Tillsonburg between May 18, 2014 and May 25, 2014.
Entry was gained into the residence, and various pieces of jewellery and a tablet were taken. The total value of the stolen items us approximately $5,100.
On May 18, a young male had attended the residence asking to do some lawn work, which appeared suspicious to the resident. No further descriptors were provided.
The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant for suspicious vehicles and people that may be in neighbourhoods but seem as though they do not belong. The public should try to get descriptions, licence plate numbers and direction of travel and report this immediately to their local police service. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area.
