Golfers enjoy sunny morning

The lady golfers got lucky with the weather on Tuesday, May 13th at The Bridges at Tillsonburg. Although we had rain overnight and again later in the day, we enjoyed a pleasant sunny morning – made to order for a game of golf.

Eight 18-hole ladies played for a gross score on the par 3 and par 4 holes. In A Flight, Bobby Lamers was the winner and Phyl Lawrence and Carol Livingston tied for second. In B Flight, Lil Neale finished first and Taye Jackson and Wendy Coward tied for second.

Stella Black had a birdie on hole #16 and Lil Neale and Bobby Lamers had birdies on hole #2.

Nineteen 9-hole ladies played for "closest to the pin" on the par 3's. The winners were as follows: Hole #2 - Adele Armstrong, hole #5 - Catherine Burke, hole #7 - Catherine Burke, hole # 9 - Ruth Gehman with a chip-in.

We are very happy to report that Marion Hevenor is back home after a stint in the hospital. We look forward to seeing you at The Bridges again soon Marion.
