Sacred Heart supports those in need

Article content

In support of Mental Health Week, students at Sacred Heart School in Langton were encouraged to write chalk messages on the sidewalks surrounding the school. "As a Catholic learning community, we believe in the worth and dignity of every person and look for opportunities to support those in need, while promoting student and staff well-being," stated Debbie Pierssens, Sacred Heart School special education resource teacher.

Sacred Heart School and Langton Public School are joining forces tomorrow, Friday, May 9, to hold an elementary school Relay for Life. Opening ceremonies begin around 9 a.m., followed by the Survivor Lap at 9:15 a.m. Students will continue to walk around the track in shifts until closing ceremonies at 2 p.m.

The community is welcome to participate in the silent auction or barbecue.
