Spring has sprung - believe it or not!

And here is your first newsletter… for spring! That's right, it might not look it or feel it, but I assure you, we have finally entered spring. That means that soon (hopefully) we will have warmer weather. We have already hit zero degrees, which may not sound very good, but after the freezing cold weather we've been having, this is quite a good break.

This winter has been nasty, but after seeing the sun, the grass and even a couple of robins, we know that spring is on its way.

Did you visit Kelsey's last Wednesday? We sure hope you did, because 20% of the proceeds are going towards the school- fundraising for smartboards!

Monsignor O'Neil School is lucky to have a very fun and active French Club. Thanks to Madame Rigby, the club meets twice per month: once to plan an activity, and once to carry out the activity. Recently, le Club de Français made marshmallow Bonhommes in honour of Carnaval d'hiver.

On Thursday, our Grade 8s had their graduation photos taken. We will surely miss them at the end of this school year. We wish every single one of them great luck as they will be off to high school in September!

We sent Mrs. Barlow off with a warm goodbye as she is off to try out a new career as an elementary school librarian. Don't worry though, she will only be gone a month. Good luck Mrs. Barlow! We will miss you.

Our junior hockey team is headed out this Friday to compete in a hockey tournament. Schools from this area will be sending off their best players to compete. Go Knights!

I am hoping that by next week's column, it will be much warmer. Spring, hurry up!
