TISL Week 16 Results - End of Regular Season

Monday, March 3

Danbrook Auto 15, Ontario Laser 1

Our week started off with a lilted floor score as a short-handed Laser squad just got pummeled. Danbrook showed little mercy opening up a 8-0 1st half lead and never really let up. Leading the Auto barrage was Matt Davis with six, a Tyler Danbrook five, three from Mike Beal and single by Jill Yarmie. Lasers only marker came from Cedric Tomico.

Computer Station 8, Courtland PPM 4

The next game was a better matchup but started off one-way as Computer jumped into an early 6-1 lead. The 2nd half was much closer as Courtland tried to close the gap but just ran out of steam. Leading the Computer surge was a Nick Byrnes hat trick, followed by two apiece from Devin Schuurman and Darryl Price and single by Garret Schuurman. Courtland got two from Stephan DeGroote and singles by Laura Magashazi and Mike Mesquita.

Tuesday, March 4

Signshop 8, Verne’s Carpet 8

Signshop played the spoiler as they battled 2nd place Verne’s to a tie and stole that extra point they needed to catch the front running DoneRight squad. Signshop opened the early 1st half lead 5-3 and then had to hold on tight as Verne’s tried to made the big comeback. Signshop’s Carlos Oliveira led his team with four, followed by two from Lucas Bos and singles by Ryan Chisholm and Bailey Page. Verne’s big gun was Justin Young with three, followed by a Jason Beard double and singles from Brad Smale, Pete and Angela Rochus.

Pettman’s Auctioneers 10, Poultry Specialties 8

Our 2nd game was another barnburner as Auction had to overcome a 1st half deficit as Poultry led 6-4. Auction stormed back in the 2nd half outscoring Poultry by a 6-2 margin. Leading the Auction crew was Gerrit Pelleboer with five, followed by doubles from Kurt Vanittersum and Molson Page and a single by Mancy Teixeira. Poultry got doubles from Steve Lavier, Kasper Laugesen and Papa McClatchie with singles by Shaine Jansen and Tyler Harvey.

DoneRight Landscaping 11, Verne’s Carpet 5

Congrats to our DoneRight gang, as they proved why they are our league champions for 2014 with a convincing victory over 2nd place Verne’s. It was a close 1st half with DoneRight only leading by a 6-4 margin but the 2nd was all Landscaping. Leading their attack was Eric Kok and Don Evanitski with hat tricks, followed by doubles from Mac Robinson and Max Evanitski and the single by Nathan Matos. Verne’s got three from Brad Smale and a pair by Aaron DeJong.

Corey’s Restaurant 10, Pettman’s Auctioneers 6

Corey’s jumped out to an early 6-2 lead and then shared the 2nd half at four apiece to end their league season on a high note. Corey’s hot foot belonged to Ivan Hernandez who led the way with six, followed by a Dimitri Papadakos hat trick and single from Joe Oliveira.
