More snow on the way?

Article content

Environment Canada is calling for up to 10 cm snow and blowing snow on Wednesday on the north edge of Lake Erie, including Elgin and Norfolk Counties.

An area of low pressure from Kansas is forecast to track south of the Lower Great Lakes Wednesday. This system is expected to generate snow and local blowing snow Wednesday for regions just north of Lake Erie, from Essex County across to the Niagara region. Although snowfall accumulations will depend on the exact track of this system, current information suggests total snowfall amounts near 10 cm are possible.

Motorists will be advised to exercise caution when travelling or commuting due to poor visibilities in snow and blowing snow.

The weather alert was posted Monday afternoon. The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
