The best Long Point Bay ice-fishing season in years survived a brief recent warm, rainy spell in good order, and as of Thursday, there was a solid 10 inches to a foot of quality ice present – along with a solid cadre of determined anglers. Perch are the main target on Long Point Bay, but the odd predatory pike shows up beneath the ice – and the odder one above it in the hands of successful anglers. Jeff Tribe/Tillsonburg News
