Article content

Although all students have had a break from school and have been enjoying the leisurely life of Christmas holidays, O'Neil's students worked hard before the break and will study hard again after the break!

We have our Noble Knights, who will be ‘knighted’ soon, when a special guest speaker officially presents them with their hats after a training session.

Stay tuned for more details about this exciting event!

Grade 6 students have been very busy learning the cold, hard facts about drug abuse. In the latest installment of the Grade 6 V.I.P. (Values, Influences, Peers) program, students gathered around Oxford OPP Constable Charlie Abdul-Massih as he taught them about the characteristics, effects, and dangers of drugs. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and see some realistic drug paraphernalia to watch out for. A new chapter in this awesome program, in partnership with O.P.P., is coming soon to O'Neil!

We have passed the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6 and are now putting away the school's manger scene to return to the Church's Ordinary Time. Lots will be happening as we prepare for grad photos, gymnastics, basketball season, our Little Caesars fund raiser, and, eventually, the Lenten season.
