'Grinchy' suspects target Christmas ornaments

Inflatable Christmas lawn ornaments along Kara Lane and Joseph Street were targetted by vandals Wednesday evening in Tillsonburg.
Oxford OPP responded to several mischief calls in the area, following homeowner reports received around 8 p.m. that their inflatable seasonal lawn ornaments had been damaged by unknown suspects.
Unknown suspects were chased on foot by one homeowner, but evaded capture and identification. In that case, the homeowner described suspects as ‘three teenaged males.’ Another witness described a male suspect exiting from an older Chrysler van, and cutting more inflatable Christmas lawn ornaments before re-entering and fleeing in the vehicle.
Continued OPP patrols revealed additional damage to outdoor decorations and homeowners were informed of the situation. Suspects have not been located and the investigation is ongoing.
