Glendale opens draw at 4 p.m. against St. Mary’s in the Community Gym. Finals begin Saturday at 3 p.m. with championship game at 7:30 p.m.

PA Day Program: Lego Fest at the Tillsonburg Public Library from 1-3 p.m. for ages 6-12. Lego Creation Contest, Iron Chef-style Building Competitions, Lego Mindstorm demonstration, prizes, and a free-play Lego station. Register at the library or by phone starting Dec. 1. New Year's Celebrations in downtown Tillsonburg, culminating at the clock tower for a midnight countdown into the new year, celebrated with a fireworks show. The evening features public skating until 10 p.m. when events begin downtown. Free hot chocolate, apple cider, music, dancing, a warming station and activities for all ages.

The Tillsonburg Horticultural Society meets in the Senior Centre Auditorium at the Tillsonburg Community Centre for its first general meeting of 2014, starting at 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Lynn Bisschop from Shades of Green south of Aylmer talking about Hostas and Lilies. An annual membership in the Horticultural Society is $15. Memberships for 2014 will be available at the meeting.
