Week Three

Tuesday, Nov. 12

Pettman’s Auctioneers 9, Danbrook Auto 6

Our opening game of the week was a dandy, as Danbrook jumped out to an early 2-1 1st-half lead. The 2nd half was all Auction as they just tired out a short-staffed Danbrook squad outscoring them by an 8-4 margin. Leading a balanced Auction attack were Gerrit Pellaboer, Jared Pettman, Kirk Vanittersum and Nancy Teixeira, all with two apiece, and a Chad Lofthouse single. Danbrook got a hat trick from Mike Beal, a Tyler Danbrook double, and Aalt Pelleboer single.

Corey’s Restaurant 13, Courtland PPM 6

Our 2nd game saw Corey’s rebounding from last week's loss with an impressive offensive show, jumping out to an early 7-4 lead. The 2nd half was all Corey’s again as they totally dominated a tired Courtland team who were missing a couple of key players. Corey’s big gunner was Ivan Hernandez with five, followed by hat tricks from Dimitri Papadakos and Joe Lopes and singles by Joe Oliveira and goalie George Papadakos. Courtland got doubles from Jerry Clergy and Brittany Gemmel and singles by Laura Magashazi and Dan Oliveira.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

Signshop 10, Ontario Laser 9

In our barnburner of the week, two equally balanced teams battled it out right to the very end. It was Signshop with a slim 6-5 1st-half lead followed by an equally tight 2nd. Signshop captain Carlos Oliveira's two late goals made the difference as he led his squad with six markers, followed by a pair from Lucas Bos and singles by Amanda Palmer and goalie Derek Buchner. Laser’s Hunter Stolk banged home three, with a Ryan VanLeeuwen double and singles from Cedric Tomico, Kris Foreman, Colin Procunier and goalie Tyler VanLeeuwen.

DoneRight Landscaping 14, Cocreo 4

Our 2nd Wednesday match featured the high flying Landscapers with their 3rd 14-goal performance. It was DoneRight blasting out to an 8-1 1st-half lead against a depleted Cocreo team and the 2nd was no different as they just bombed away. DoneRight’s Max Evanitski was merciless with eight, followed by doubles from Nathan Matos and goalie Don Evanitski. Eric Kok and Mac Robinson chipped home singles. Cocreo got three from Marijn Noorland and a single from goalie Neil Puente.

Thursday, Nov. 14

Poultry Specialties 8, Tillson Pizza 3

Our Thursday games were good ones as Poultry Specialties earned its 1st win against the always tough Tillson Pizza team. They led only 4-2 at the half before opening it up in the 2nd. Poultry’s Shaine Jansen led the way with five, followed by a pair from Steve Lavier and a single by Tyler Harvey. Pizza got two from Scott Dunbar and a single by Nate Shearer.

Verne’s Carpet One 5, Computer Station 3

And finally to finish off the week, Verne’s made it three wins in a row in a very low scoring defensive matchup. It was only 3-1 at the half for Verne’s with Computer making the 2nd half a battle to the finish. Verne’s goalie Jason Beard and Justin Young chipped in two apiece with a Tim Hua single. Computer got singles from Garret Schuurman, Robbie McKeirnan and Nick Byrnes.
