Week 2

Monday, Nov. 4

Danbrook Auto 7, Tillson Pizza 5

Our opening game of the week was a good one as Danbrook jumped out to an early lead 6-1 1st half lead. The 2nd half was a total reversal as Pizza stormed back outscoring the Auto crew by a 4-1 margin, just running out of time. Leading the way for Auto was Matt Davis and Tyler Danbrook with three apiece with an Aalt Pelleboer single. Pizza got a hat trick from Scott Dunbar and a double from Nick Karpouzos.

Verne’s Carpet One 9, Pettman’s Auctioneers 7

Our 2nd game saw Verne’s making it two in a row, but not without a tough battle from the Auction gang. It was only a 4-2 game at the half with both teams scoring five apiece in the 2nd. Verne’s big gunner was Brad Smale with five, followed by a pair from Aaron De Jong and singles by Justin Young and Tim Hua. Pettman’s got a hat trick from Kurt Vanittersum, a double by Gerrit Pelleboer and singles from Molson Page and Chad Lofthouse.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

Cocreo 9, Ontario Laser 7

In our next night of action, it was another close one for Cocreo as Laser kept within two goals all game. It was only a 6-4 at the half and much of the same throughout the 2nd. Cocreo’s hot foot belonged to Marijn Noorland with four, followed by hat tricker Andy Metselaar and a pair from Joel Taylor. Laser’s Ryan VanLeeuwen banged home three, with singles from Hunter Stolk, Kris Foreman and Colin Procunier.

Computer Station 6, Courtland PPM 4

Another barnburner as Computer held tough after leading by a slim 3-2 1st half edge. The 2nd was another repeat performance with the Station prevailing. Computer’s big gunner was Robbie McKiernan with four, followed by singles from Nick Byrnes and goalie Darryl Price. Courtland got two from Mike Mesquita and singles by Dan Oliveira and Laura Magashazi.

Thursday, Nov. 7

DoneRight Landscaping 14, Poultry Specialties 9

DoneRight made it two in a row and scored another 14 goals in the process. But Poultry would not go away and stayed close most of the way, only trailing 9-7 at the half. The Landscaper’s Nathan Matos did a lot of damage with four, followed by hat tricks from Mac Robinson and Max Evanitski, a double from goalie Don Evanitski and singles by Jaime Neito and Eric Kok. Poultry’s Shaine Jansen led the way with four, with two apiece from Steve Lavier and Tyler Harvey with a single by Trista Langrell.

Signshop 7, Corey’s Restaurant 3

And finally to finish off the week, Signshop also made it two wins in a row in a low-scoring defensive matchup. Signshop edged out to an early 4-2 1st half lead before making the 2nd half breakout. Carlos Oliveira led his Signshop squad once again with a hat trick, followed by a deuce from Ryan Chisholm and singles from Bailey Page and Amanda Palmer. Corey’s got singles from Dimitri Papadakos, Joe Lopes and goalie George Papadakos.

Tuesday, Nov. 12: 8 p.m. Auction vs Danbrook Auto; 9 p.m. Corey’s vs Courtland

Wednesday, Nov. 13: 8 p.m. Signshop vs Laser; 9 p.m. DoneRight vs Cocreo

Thursday, Nov. 14: 8 p.m. Poultry vs Tillson Pizza; 9 p.m. Verne’s vs Computer
