EMI Steelerz stave off elimination twice to set up Game 5

Hopefully weather continues to be favourable and comfortable for teams participating in the finals this week!

MEN’S C

Hit N Run came back from a 2-0 deficit winning four straight to capture the Tillsonburg Men’s C Division title over Cain’s Pelicans.

They won Games 3 through 5 convincingly, then won 5-3 in a close Game 6 to clinch the series.

Cain’s Pelicans: Ryan Verbuyst 3-3, Mike Robinson 2-2

Jacob Enns had a bases clearing triple and drove in five for Hit N Run.

Martin Epp’s two-run second-inning homer was all Hit N Run needed in clinching the title.

MEN’S B

It will be the third and fourth place teams meeting in this year’s Men’s B Division Final.

Big Bass Brawlers fought back from an early 7-2 Kirwin and Oatman lead winning by 10 in Game 5.

Hollister KIA Kekambas also came from behind to take their Game 5 against DeGroote-Hill. They trailed by 10 in the fifth but put up 15 over their next two at-bats to advance to the finals.

Haine’s Roofing won three straight over IC Waters to advance to the A Final against Maple View Variety D-Backs.

Maple View took the opener despite playing with just nine. Haines Roofing tied the series on Friday night.

EMI Steelerz staved off elimination twice last week to set up a fifth and deciding game Monday night against ServiceMaster.
