It’s a race against the cold weather now as the Tillsonburg Men’s A and B Finals will definitely go into October.

The Men’s C Final could start Thursday night.

The Tillsonburg Women’s slo-pitch titles should be decided in the next week or two!

 

Men’s A

IC Waters completed their sweep of Woodland RV and now will take on first place Haines Roofing in the semifinals.

The other semi matchup got underway with Maple View taking the opener 18-12 over Gators.

Maple View Variety 27, Vector Blue Jays 26

Game 3

Maple View: Ryan Miller 5-5 HR, Mike Wencel 4-5 2 HRs, Ryan Black HR, Randy Miller HR, Brad Wencel HR, Abe Epp HR

Vector: Adam Thomson 6-7 HR, Chris VanParys 6-7 HR, Steve Balazs HR, Eric Vanwynsberghe HR, Chad Lofthouse 2 HRs

The eight-man Vector squad came back from a six-run deficit in the seventh to take a four-run lead. Maple View ended the series with Brad Wencel’s walkoff double down the left field line.

Game 1

Maple View: Ian Baker 3-3, Randy Miller 3-3, Ryan Miller HR, Ryan Black HR

Gators: Aaron Laporte 4-4, Trevor Brown 3-3, Darryl Vandendriessche HR

Maple View took over the game courtesy of a six-run sixth.

IC Waters 14, Woodland RV 11

Game 3

IC Waters: Mike Shewan 3-4, Darren Cadotte 3-4

Woodland RV: Ben Heinrichs 4-4, Tom Csoff 4-4

Mike Shewan and Shawn Crane each hit triples and scored two runs for IC Waters.

 

Men’s B

Big Bass Brawlers punched their ticket to the semifinals after eliminating Domino’s Hounds last week. They will now face Kirwin and Oatman in the semifinals.

Hollister KIA Kekambas hold a slim 2-1 lead over GC Lounsbury Dirty Mitts after splitting a double-header last Tuesday night. The winner will take on DeGroote-Hill in the other B semifinal.

Game 1

Hollister KIA: Cody Furlong 4-4, Brendan Rohrer 5-5, Benson Howey HR

GC Lounsbury: Steve DeBlaire 3-3, Rob Vandemaele 3-3

Benson Howey had a three-run homer and scored four runs for KIA.

Hollister KIA Kekambas 23, GC Lounsbury 18

Game 3

Hollister KIA: Kyle Hollister 4-4 HR, Chad Barclay 4-4 HR, Benson Howey HR

GC Lounsbury: Steve DeBlaire 4-4, Jarrett Anderson 3-4, Travis Nikin HR

Hollister KIA came from behind scoring eight over their last two at-bats to record the win.

Big Bass Brawlers 10, Domino’s Hounds 9

Game 3

Big Bass: Ryan Hambleton 2-2, Joe Stone 2-3 HR, Ross Groat HR, Steve Derks HR, Sean Guardhouse HR

Domino’s: Evan Juszku 3-3, Mark McKibbon 2-3

After spotting Domino’s an early 7-0 lead, Big Bass Brawlers took the lead for good with a five-run sixth. Steve Derks had a double in the rally.

Big Bass Brawlers 18, Domino’s Hounds 12

Game 4

Big Bass: Brent Schooley 4-4, Sean Guardhouse 3-4 HR, Ross Groat HR, Rob Derks HR

Domino’s: Lance McKenzie 3-4, Harv Johnson 3-4, Joel Prouse HR

Big Bass put up a seven spot in the fifth to move ahead for good. Sean Guardhouse and Brent Schooley each crossed three times on the night for the winners.

 

Men’s C

Hit N Run won three last week over Broadway Lanes Bears to advance to their second straight C Final.

The Bears were led by Johnny Klassen who had a pair of homers in each game while driving in 17.

Cain’s Pelicans and Delhi Dodgers will go to a fifth and deciding game Tuesday night. Cain’s won two straight after dropping the opener, but Delhi forced the deciding game with a 9-3 victory in Game 4.

Cain’s: Ryan Verbuyst 5-5, Andrew Dawson 3-4 HR, Andrew Kamenar 3 HRs, Adam Jensen 2 HRs

Delhi: Garrett Roelens 3-3 2 HRs, Alan Geerts 2-3

Cain’s blew the game wide open with a 12-run seventh. Andrew Kamenar homered three times on the night.

Cain’s Pelicans 7, Delhi Dodgers 5

Game 3

Cain’s: Adam Jensen 3-3, Kevin Buchner 2-2

Delhi: Marty Macdonald 3-3, Bill Chesney 2-3

Cain’s Kurt Vaughan crossed with the eventual game-winning run in the fourth.

Hit N Run 22, Broadway Lanes Bears 15

Game 2

Hit N Run: Diedrich Klassen 4-4, Abe Klassen 4-4, Johnny Klassen 2 HRs, Jake Enns 2 HRs

Broadway Lanes: Jay Seitz 4-4, Phil Beauvais 4-5

Johnny Klassen had a pair of two-run homers for Hit N Run.

Delhi Dodgers 9, Cain’s Pelicans 3

Game 4

Delhi: Craig Franklin 2-3, Kurt Pettitt 2-3

Cain’s: Adam Jensen 3-3, Ryan Verbuyst 2-3, Andrew Dawson HR

Broadway Lanes: Derrick Harnish 3-4, Phil Beauvais 3-4, Andy Lockstein HR

Johnny Klassen had three-run and two-run homers for the winners.

Hit N Run 25, Broadway Lanes Bears 8

Game 4

Hit N Run: Diedrich Klassen 5-5 HR, Paul Reimer 4-5, Johnny Klassen 2 HRs (grand slam)

Broadway Lanes: Devon Schultz 3-4, Brent O’Brien 3-4

Once again Johnny Klassen led Hit N Run with a grand slam and three-run homer.

Ladies A

Eichenberg’s took the opener of their series with Great Lakes Physio – Corey’s 7-6. Game 2 was cancelled due to Wednesday’s storm.

Game 1

Eichenberg’s: Tamarah Schultz 2-3, Kate Hahn 2-3

GL Physio – Corey’s: Deb Simmonds 2-3, Shannon Ewing 2-3

Eichenberg scored five in the fifth to take over the lead. Nancy Hiebert plated in the eventual game winning run.

Ladies A Consolation

Orange Crush and Jays played two close games with Orange winning by two and Jays winning by just one.

Jays 14, Orange Crush 13

Jays: Amy Beattie 4-4, Mary Froese 4-4

Orange Crush: TJ Balazs 3-3, Marni Wolfe 4-4

Jays pulled out the win courtesy of a five-run seventh.

Orange Crush: TJ Balazs 4-4, Kathryn Peter 4-4

Jays: Mary Froese 3-4, Kristen Cadotte 3-4

Orange Crush had a four-run rally in the sixth.

Ladies B

Ritchie’s Ice Cream and BBQ had little trouble with ServiceMaster beating them by nine.

Ritchie’s Ice Cream and BBQ: Karen Horvat 3-4, Holley Dayman 4-5

ServiceMaster: Melissa Howick 4-4, Kenzie Balcomb 2-3

Ritchie’s put runs across in every inning but the seventh.

Ladies B Consolation

Challengers came from behind in the seventh to beat Focus by two.

Challengers 21, Focus 19

Challengers: Neta Klassen 6-6, Tina Klassen 5-6

Focus: Kristen Bogart 5-5, Steph Belanger 4-4

Challengers scored six runs in their last at-bat to pull out the win.

Ladies C

Scared Hitless eliminated Outcasts in Game 4 of their series to move into the final against Hericanes.

Hericanes took the opener handily.

Game 4

Scared Hitless: Sandy Salverda 4-4, Dee Smith 4-5 HR

Outcasts: Amber Woolgar 5-5, Tiffany Rokeby 3-4

Dee Smith, Sandy Salverda and Danielle Boughner each scored three runs for Scared Hitless against the short-handed Outcasts.

Hericanes 21, Scared Hitless 7

Game 1 (FINAL)

Hericanes: Stacy Latimer 4-4, Heather Haley 3-4

Scared Hitless: Kim Jeromin 2-3, Julie Boldt 2-3

Stacy Latimer tripled and scored four runs for Hericanes.
