Tillsonburg teams competed fairly well at SPN provincials in Niagara Falls over the weekend.

Big Bass Brawlers won two elimination games before losing in the seventh in their last game.

Broadway Lanes Bears earned a bye to Sunday but lost in their first game that day. GC Lounsbury Dirty Mitts also had a bye to Sunday.

Ladies A

Once again it will be Eichenberg’s and Great Lakes Physio – Corey’s vying for the Ladies A playoff crown.

Both teams completed sweeps last Wednesday. Dodge Girls won in a mercy over Jays, while Great Lakes – Corey’s won by seven over a tough Orange Crush squad.

Eichenberg: Kim Harrop 4-4, Tamarah Schultz 4-4 HR, Lauren Duffy HR

Jays: Kristen Cadotte 3-3, Amy Beattie 2-2

Eichenberg’s Tamarah Schultz drove in six and was a double shy of hitting for the cycle.

Great Lakes Physio – Corey’s 13, Orange Crush 6

Great Lakes – Corey’s: Kaitlin Anseeuw 2-2 HR, Tania Ghesquiere 2-2

Orange Crush: Stacy Lauwerier 3-3, TJ Balazs 3-3

Kaitlin Anseeuw led the winners droving in four while Kasey McKenzie knocked in three.

Ladies B

ServiceMaster won the third and deciding game in their series with Focus. They scored runs in every inning but the second.

Focus: Kitty Grant 3-3, Greta Styve 3-3

Steph Erdelac crossed three times for ServiceMaster.

Ladies C

Hericanes are off to the final after a mercy in Game 3 of their sweep of Cardio Plus.

Scared Hitless mercied Outcasts to go up 2-1 in their series.

Mona Desmarchais scored three runs for Scared Hitless.

Men’s A

Gators won two out of three last week to eliminate Roosters.

IC Waters got out of the gate quick and have a commanding two-game lead over Woodland RV Park. Haines Roofing finished off their series with Robert Q Travel last week.

Maple View Variety went two games up on Vector Blue Jays winning by forfeit.

Shawn Crane led IC Waters with a pair of homers, pair of doubles, and five runs scored.

Mike Shewan and Jeff Cadotte hit back-to-back homers in IC’s three-run take-over sixth.

Greg Buchner had a two-run triple as Roosters put the game away with a five-run sixth.

Scott Balazs and Jon Nunn scored three runs for Gators.

Roosters: Mark Hamulecki 2-3, Jared Pettman 2-3, Curtis Neabel HR

Derek Penner had a three-run homer and a two-run triple for Gators.

Men’s B

DeGroote-Hill and Kirwin and Oatman each swept their opening series against Ontario Laser Spartans and Corey’s Restaurant respectively.

Domino’s Hounds tied up their series with Big Bass Brawlers beating them 3-2 in a low-scoring affair.

Hollister KIA Kekambas mercied GC Lounsbury Dirty Mitts in their opener.

Despite playing with only nine, Delhi eked out the big win.
