Horse-and-wagon for Hagell

Jim Hagell (1941-2013), who passed away Friday, August 30 at the age of 72, was passionate about horses, woodworking, trucking, fishing, and anything outdoors.

His last wish, to be transported to the cemetery by horse-and-wagon, was honored by Ewart McLaughlin, who drove a two-horse-wagon carrying Hagell’s casket to the Tillsonburg Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 6 following a 1 p.m. funeral service in the Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Escorted by nine outriders as an honour guard, Hagell’s casket moved along Baldwin/Oxford/Simcoe Street to the cemetery arriving just after 2 p.m. CHRIS ABBOTT/TILLSONBURG NEWS
