GREAT way to finish the season

G.R.E.A.T. (Goshen Ridge Equine Association of Tillsonburg) finished its 2013 season with a Sept. 8 competition on Bell Mill Side Road, just south of Tillsonburg.
About 70 riders competed Sunday.
The highlight of the 'Pretty in Pink' show was a donation of hair from 10-year-old Emma VanParys to Pantene Beautiful Lengths of Etobicoke, immediately preceded by the Jr A Sr Walk-Jog-Trot class and the costume class.
"She's never had it cut before," said Lori VanParys.
Vicky Holman from Tillsonburg's In the Alley Hair Design did the honours during a midday break in competition, with G.R.E.A.T. president Tony Tait and Lori VanParys lending support.
Funds were raised totaling more than $425 to be donated to the Canadian Cancer Research Institute in Ottawa.
