Club Champs at The Bridges

Mae Moffat - Bunker to Bunker
The Club Championship at The Bridges at Tillsonburg for 2013 is now history. Although there were moments when it appeared as though we might get wet, it turned out to be a very pleasant and dry weekend.
The weekend began with 30 men teeing off on Saturday morning. Saturday evening, Chef Ron and his stall treated the golfers and their guests to a roasted pig dinner, complete with homemade stuffing and all the trimmings. He then served his yummy apple fritters.
Sunday morning 17 lady golfers joined the men on the golf course. Following their round of golf they enjoyed a delicious brunch.
Monday morning all the golfers once again made their way to The Bridges for their final round of tournament play. At 5 p.m. club manager Walter Kleer thanked the staff for all their hard work and a job well done in preparing and executing the Championship weekend. He then introduced the Club Champions and the trophy presenters. After a short photo session, the golfers and their guests once again retired to the dining room for another delicious meal - this time a Prime Rib dinner.
It was a pleasure to golf in the tournament and hopefully everyone enjoyed their weekend.
By the way, two golf clubs retrieved from a tree are now available for pickup at the lost and found.

On Tuesday, September 3, five 18-hole ladies and 10 9-hole ladies turned out for their regular game of golf.
Eventually the slow drizzle drove us from the golf course into the Club House, where we enjoyed coffee and discussed the weekend.
Next week is our last week of league play before our Best Ball tournament and the windup luncheon. Be sure to get your name on the signup sheets posted in the change room. You don't want to miss this fun tournament.
See you on the greens.
