2013 Bayfest Parade in Port Rowan

Light showers shortly after the start of Sunday's 2013 Bayfest Parade in Port Rowan turned out to be a sign of wet weather to come. Most of the 45-50 minute parade rolled up Erie and down Bay Street under cloudy - but dry - skies. Less than 15 minutes after the parade finished, however, the rain started again, alternating between light and heavy along with an occasional flash of lightning, and this time there was no letup for the next hour.

Outdoor activities were cancelled or curtailed, but it had little affect on indoor events like the Long Point Lions and Lioness chicken barbecue and pie sale at the Port Rowan Community Centre.
