Truck/train collision closes Ostrander Road

The driver of a transport truck was taken to Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a collision with a train Friday morning on Ostrander Road between Plank Line and Cranberry Line.

That section of Ostrander Road was closed for the remainder of the morning and into the afternoon as a result of the incident.

Oxford EMS, Oxford OPP, South-West Oxford Fire Department and the Oxford County Roads Department were among entities attending the scene as a result of the collision, ensuing road closure and clean-up.

The transport vehicle was towed from the collision site at roughly 12:50 p.m.
