Great Lakes Physio - Corey's reach NSA Canadian World Series finals

Article content

Great Lakes Physio – Corey’s finished runner-up to BOSS of Barrie at the NSA Canadian World Series over the holiday weekend in Hamilton.

The ladies so-pitch squad compiled a 7-3 record losing by an accumulative total of just four runs. They finished atop their pool after the round-robin, however lost their first playoff game by one, which forced them to go the long way around to get to the final.

They won four straight to reach the final after beating BOSS in the first game of the final – a seven-inning comeback – but came up just one run short in the second game of the final.

A complete team effort was attributed to the team’s great success.

A sad note to end this part of my column, Scott Layman, a member of the John Beere team, passed away suddenly last weekend. Heartfelt condolences to his wife Erin, father Harry, and all his family and friends.
