Tillsonburg Public Library offers new eBook service online

Oxford County Library now offers a new online book service – Freading – that offers free eBook downloads to library patrons through the ocl.net website.
“Freading’s complimentary collection is an exciting addition to our eBook services and widens the variety of titles we can offer library patrons,” said Lisa Miettinen, CEO of the Oxford County Library, in a media release Monday. “We are dedicated to always enhancing the services we provide and Freading is another resource for patrons to access eBooks, faster, at no cost, and without waiting.”
Users are afforded 10 Freading tokens each week, allowing them to check out 3-10 books, free of charge, for their smartphone or e-reader.
The service provides access to thousands of titles with no wait or line up and can be accessed online at www.ocl.net with a valid library card and pin number. Multiple users can download the same eBook, eliminating the waiting period found with other eBook services.
Freading’s complimentary collection is compatible with the Kindle Fire, Nook, and Kobo devices. Apps are also available for both Apple and Android devices.
