Theft from Walmart

The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to a report of a suspicious male at the Walmart store on Broadway in Tillsonburg just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

The male suspect was located by police in the Walmart washroom, concealing $280 worth of merchandise including razors and laundry detergent in his knapsack. Police arrested the male for shoplifting. The male was searched and a prohibited weapon (knife) was found in his possession.

A 23-year-old man from Tillsonburg, Justin Kalmbach, is charged with the following:

• Theft Under $5,000 – Shoplifting

• Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

The male was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge Undertaking with a court date on August 27, 2013 at the Woodstock Courthouse.
