A new way to tighten skin at Anastacia's Salon in Tillsonburg

A new method for tightening loose skin and promoting production of new, healthier collagen is now available at Anastacia’s Salon in Tillsonburg.

“It’s tri-polar radiofrequency,” said Melissa Lyons, owner of Laser It Salon & Medical Spa in LaSalle, who along with Susan Shaw of Oui Believe introduced the EndyMed 3DEEP technology in Tillsonburg last week.

“It’s the first of its kind in that kind of skin tightening,” said Lyons. “There’s nothing like this on the market. It’s comfortable and it’s really effective.”

Other methods are available, she noted, and ‘youthful options’ typically work on faces but leave the necks looking 10-30 years older.

“This will treat the neck, the décolleté, the face… all of your skin becomes more youthful, plump, firm.

“For people who choose to grow old naturally, but as slowly as possible, this is your option. It’s not going to depend on someone’s creativity where you’re going to have a lump or a bump or bigger – it’s all what your skin intended.”

After one treatment, she said it will provide a ‘nice glowing complexion,’ and slight changes to the skin. The next treatment tightens the skin a little more.

“After you get three or four treatments into your skin you will look better and better and better.”

“You do one treatment a week anywhere from 4-6 weeks,” said Shaw. “It’s basically one treatment per decade, so if you’re 50 it’s five treatments. Your service provider can customize the program for you.

“Initially there is skin tightening, but it takes about three months for the new collagen growth to begin, and to start noticing that.”

“Because it does remodel your collagen,” Lyons nodded.

The procedure delivers controlled deep heat into the skin while preserving the overlying epidermis. Deep skin layers are gradually heated. One treatment usually takes 30-45 minutes, depending on the area of the treatment.

Other products offered by EndyMed include Body Contouring and Fractional Skin Resurfacing with the 3DEEP RF (radiofrequency).

“This is a treatment for people who might want a skin-tightening option, or might add to what they’ve already got,” said Lyons. “If someone’s already taken advantage of the youthful options, they’ll need this for their neck. The only other option is surgery.”

Before and after pictures show a dramatic difference with smoother skin and improved texture,

“It’s very, very safe,” she added, noting treatments are relaxing, pain free, and have no side effects.

“Does this halt the aging process?” said Shaw, noting one of their more frequently asked questions. “The answer is no. The aging process continues for everyone. However, it will help your body to stimulate new collagen growth. And that carries on for as long as you continue on a certain level of maintenance with the process.”

“For some people it lasts longer than others,” said Lyons. “It will depend on so many things – do you smoke, do you go out in the sun, are you a runner, do you drink at lot of water? How hard are you on your body? That will make a difference.”

Shaw and Lyons have been working with the EndyMed machine since February, but they’ve been doing skin tightening at the Laser It! salon for the past 10 years.

Lyons said she has been impressed with the 3DEEP radiofrequency results so far.

“I believe in this completely, fully, the results are remarkable.”
