Week 5
Friday, July 5
Pettman’s Auctioneering 5, Ontario Laser 2
Field 1 featured the Auction crew jumping out to an early 3-0 1st half lead. The 2nd half was a much tighter as both teams equalized at two apiece.
Leading the attack was Mike Vandenbrink with a pair followed by singles from sis Kaitlyn Vandenbrink, Annika Steen and Ryan Chisholm. Laser got singles from Joe Oliveira and Paul Crowder.
Computer Station 4, Tillson Pizza 2
On Field 2, it was an excellent game with the Pizza gang jumping into an early 1-0 1st half lead. Computer made the big 2nd half comeback to secure a 2nd place position in the standings.
Leading the 2nd half rally was Kris Foreman with the hat trick and Ishmael Dalm single. Pizza got both goals from Nick Karpouzos.
Cocreo 4, Signshop 2
Our Field 3 match saw Cocreo making it two in a row and handing Signshop its 1st loss of the campaign. It was deadlocked at 1-1 at the half before Cocreo finally broke out.
Cocreo’s Austin Corriveau led the way with a hat trick followed by a Mike Thompson single. Signshop got goals from Mike Beal and Max Evanitski.
Corey’s 1, Ostrander’s 1
On Field 4, it was another nail biter as Ostrander’s held our league leaders to a draw. Ostrander’s Joel Breddy got a 1st half single before Corey’s George Martinez equalized in the 2nd.
