Canada Day in Tillsonburg

Some scheduled events and activities for Canada Day celebrations in Tillsonburg:

8-11 a.m. Pancake Breakfast at the Station Arts Centre.

8 a.m.-12 p.m. Farmers Market at the Station Arts Centre.

9 a.m.-12 p.m. Children’s Area at the Station Arts Centre sponsored by the Kinette Club of Tillsonburg. Enjoy complimentary Canada Day Cake and the My Canada Photo Contest.

10 a.m.-4 p.m. Lake Lisgar Sailors and guest modelers will be displaying and sailing their boats throughout the day. Sailing yachts, tugboats, naval vessels, racers, historic ships and other surprises will be on display.

10 a.m.-4 p.m. Canada Day Open House at Annandale National Historic Site. Enjoy free Canada Day cake, Canada Day quizzes and crafts.

11 a.m.-6 p.m. Swim half-price at Lake Lisgar Water Park.

12-2 p.m. Take in the Fun Fair on the lawn at Annandale National Historic Site and enjoy free games, prizes, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones and Canada Day Cake.

12 p.m. Official Canada Day Ceremony & Flag Raising presented by Legion Branch 153 at the Cenotaph Downtown.

1-10 p.m. Listen to a variety of sounds and songs during the Festival of Music at Memorial Park. Enjoy the festival atmosphere. Bring your lawn chair and blankets and participate in any of the free fun family activities.

2-7 pm. A new feature this year - the Open Acoustic Jam Sessions under a canopy at the Festival Of Music. For more information visit www.tillsonburgfestivalofmusic.ca.

4 p.m. Martial Arts Canada Demonstration on the grass adjacent to the Memorial Park Pavilion.

10 p.m. Free Fireworks at Memorial Park (near the Fairgrounds).

1 p.m. Opening Ceremony

1:15-2 p.m. First Nations special ceremony

with Dan and Mary Lou Smoke.

2-3 p.m. White Pine Dancers

3:15-4:30 p.m. Dave Dillon Blues Band, Jazz and Blues Band

4:45-5:45 p.m. The Ozarks, Country Band

6-7 p.m.  Tribute to Stompin’ Tom

7:15-8:30 p.m. The Upside of Maybe, easy listening rock n roll

8:45-10 p.m. Tonya Kennedy, country
