Week Four - Friday, June 21
Signshop 4, Tillson Pizza 1
Field One featured the Signshop crew jumping out to an early 3-1 lead. Signshop made it three wins in a row and are yet to be beat. The 2nd half was a much tighter affair with Signshop closing the door on the Pizza gang.
Leading the way for the Signers were Greg Dixon, Mike Beal, Tom Malloy and Max Evanitski. Pizza’s lone striker was Alexa Metselaar.
Pettman’s Auctioneering 7, BCFC 6
The matchup on Field Two had to be the barnburner of the week as the teams deadlocked at two apiece at the half. The 2nd half was just as exciting with Auction scoring the late winner.
Leading the way for Pettman’s was Mike Vandenbrink with a hat trick, followed by a pair from Ryan Chisholm and single by Amanda Palmer. BCFC got a pair from Julius with singles from Trevor Lamb, Tony Hymers, Curtis Wray and Dave Barnabi.
Cocreo 11, JCW Floor & Tile 0
On Field 3, it was Cocreo finally getting a win after a slow 0-3 start. It was all Cocreo as they jumped out in front with a 6-0 lead and never looked back.
Cocreo got four from Adriaan Aarnoudse, two apiece by Austin Corriveau and Aalt Pelleboer with singles from Romel Diaz, Chris Arvai and John Boon.
Computer Station 7, Ostrander’s 2
It was a better battle on Field 4 as Computer jumps out to a 5-0 1st half lead. Ostrander’s stepped it up a bit in the 2nd, but just couldn’t slow down the Station offence.
Leading the Computer attack was the hot foot of Kris Foreman with five, followed by a Ish Dalm hat trick and Chris Demaiter single. Ostrander’s got singles from Joel Breddy and George Parkin.
Corey’s Restaurant 1, Ontario Laser 0
Field 8 featured another great game as Corey’s remains undefeated recording yet another shutout. A combination of good defence and solid goaltending made it four in a row. It was scoreless at the half before Corey’s Mac Robinson finally banged home the winner. Congrats to the Laser crew on their great performance.
