Monsignor JH O'Neil Grade 8s ready to celebrate their graduation

Article content

It’s coming very close to the end of our school year at Monsignor JH O’Neil, and the students are getting very excited!

Everybody is getting wrapped up and finishing all their work for this year and getting ready for summer! Teachers are continuing to finish their report cards to be sent home with the students on the last day of school.

Grade 8 students had their year-end trip recently: four days up north at Camp Queen Elizabeth! Everyone had a great time with water activities and team-building activities.

On June 21st the Grade 8s have their exciting celebration of graduation! They are being bussed to The Mill to have the annual Grade 8 breakfast as a community.

After, they are getting bussed to the church to rehearse for the awards. At 6:30 the graduates have their award ceremony at the church and finally after they have a dance! A thanks to the staff who are setting all of this up to make the night as great and fun as can be!

On the 25th we are having a closing Mass and assembly to end an amazing year!

We hope that the Grade 5s had a great first year and that the Grade 8s had an amazing last year of elementary school before they move on to high school!
