Mount Elgin woman charged with aggravated assault

Several charges have been laid against a 22-year-old woman following an alleged assault with a knife in Mount Elgin on Sunday.

Jessica Corbett, of Mount Elgin, has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, breaching a probation order and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking or recognizance.

Corbett was arrested and held for a bail hearing and a male victim received non-life threatening injuries.
