Fun with fingerprints

Now that spring is here, we are getting to be a busy school as we gear up for the activities and events that will take us to the end of this school year.

On Tuesday, April 23, our school had an Easter Mass that the whole school went to. It was held at St. Mary’s Church and Father Tom and Deacon Jack to celebrated mass for our entire school. We celebrated the fact Jesus died on the cross for us and was raised from the dead on Easter!

May 3, the classes are going to the Tillsonburg Community Centre for the annual Dance Fest. All the classes are working on their dances to present to other schools that are going to be there. We hope every class does amazing and most of all, has a fun time!

The final chapter of ‘Youth and the Law’ in the Grade 6 V.I.P. (Values, Influences, Peers) program at Monsignor O'Neil Catholic School was presented by Constable Ian Barlow.

Students learned how the law affects them, the types of crimes and how they are investigated, and even saw some different methods of how fingerprints were lifted from a crime scene!

A few lucky students participated in the demonstration and got to take home their lifted prints as a souvenir.
