Beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt

Downtown Delhi was a beehive of activity Saturday as the Delhi BIA staged its annual Great Easter Egg Hunt.
Parents brought their children – many dressed in Easter-themed costumes – to collect chocolate Easter eggs at nearly two dozen businesses.
This is the fifth year for the event. It replaced the traditional Easter egg hunt in the park on King Street.
“We’re trying to get people to come downtown, see what’s in the different stores and get people shopping in downtown Delhi,” Andy Putoczki, chair of the Delhi BIA, said. “The merchants love it. They get to show off their wares and get to see their customers. They get a lot of repeat business out of it.
“And it’s a beautiful day for it. You can’t ask for a better day. No rain or nothing.”
