Chamber of commerce to host annual trivia night

If you know the answer to any of the above questions, then it is time to pit your plethora of knowledge against fellow trivia buffs.
The ninth annual Trivia Challenge Night, hosted by the Delhi and District Chamber of Commerce, is set for next week. Questions will start at 7 p.m. at the Delhi Belgian Club on March 27.
Organizer Mike Jiggens will test the teams of four through a series of questions from geography to pop culture and everything in between.
“It's a fun night,” said Jiggens. “It's not meant to be taken too seriously.”
The evening acts as the major fundraiser for the chamber. Money raised from the event will go toward chamber projects.
In the past, the chamber hosted a golf tournament but due to an increased number of tournaments in the area, the organization decided to try something different.
“Trivia is something that can appeal to anyone really,” said Jiggens, regardless of age, gender or physical abilities. “It opens it up to different types of people.”
The tournament remains popular and continues to draw returning trivia lovers back each year to vie for the title.
“Most of them have been involved in past years,” said Jiggens, but new entries are always welcome. “The more, the merrier.”
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.
Last year, the Tilson Toons took home the first place prize for the third year in a row, beating out the Rotary Club of Delhi by one point, followed by the Scotch Society.
Door prizes will also be awarded throughout the evening and there will be a cash bar.
The entry fee is $25 per person. Teams wishing to compete still have time to register by calling Jiggens at 519-582-4806 or 519-582-8873.
