Special Olympics Tillsonburg's D Team won bronze medals Saturday in the 8th annual Special Olympics Basketball Tournament at Glendale High School in Tillsonburg. Competing teams included LaSalle, St. Thomas and Cambridge. The D Team, one of three local entries, defeated St. Thomas B 17-11. The Special Olympics Basketball program in Tillsonburg runs from the end of September until April and is highlighted by the Tillsonburg tournament, and last weekend's tourney in St. Thomas.
