Tammy Kyle, new owner of Tranquility Health and Beauty Centre in Tillsonburg, invites you to drop by for a visit.
“I’ve been a massage therapist for 14 years, my husband was looking to purchase a building and I’ve always been interested in owning my own business, so that brought us to Tranquility,” said Kyle, who took ownership of the downtown spa and salon at 143 Broadway on Jan. 26.
“We found out that the building was for sale and the business as well.”
As new owner, Kyle said she plans to continue providing excellent quality products and services for their clients.
“We’re offering the same services – we do hair care, we do esthetics and then we do massage therapy here as well. There was already one massage therapist working here and I’ve added to that, so now we’ll have two registered massage therapists.”
Tranquility Health and Beauty Centre offers skin and hair care products, health and beauty services, as well as a variety of other items.
“We have a large retail section at the front of the store. We sell purses and scarves, sweaters and jewelry.”
The past several weeks have been busy under the new ownership and Kyle noted that business is going well.
“We’ve been at it a month now - our transition has been really smooth. Both my husband and I are very active in the community, we know a lot of people, and we’re both from town, so we’ve had a lot of new faces coming in. I’ve worked in town so I’m moving my massage therapy practice from location to another.”
Maintaining good overall health is important with today’s busy schedules and often hectic lifestyle, and helping people look good and feel good is something Kyle is looking forward to.
“Massage can help prevent injuries and stop problems before they become big problems.
“It’s very comfortable here - we serve specialty teas and coffees when people come in, all the girls are very friendly and the staff here have been amazing too - they’ve been very welcoming to us. It’s a great atmosphere here and we’re very, very excited about this whole adventure.”
