Fondue, fashion and fun with Girls' Night Out

The ladies will take over the museum in Delhi on Feb. 22.

Local politicians and businessmen will serve chocolate and champagne to the Delhi Tobacco Museum and Heritage Centre's female supporters during its annual Girls' Night Out: An Evening of Fondue, Fashion and Fun.

“I think the ladies get a kick out of them coming to the table,” said Heather Ridge, museum assistant.

The annual event remains popular.

“We're all sold out,” said Ridge.

Following the same format as in the past, the evening will feature snacks, a fashion show and trade show.

Nouveau Orie from Port Dover and Patricia's Ladies Wear from Brantford will provide the fashion for the runway, which will feature casual clothing and plenty of accessories.

The upper level of the museum will be transformed into a trade show, with nearly all new vendors exhibiting.

“I always like it when we can offer something new, something different,” said Ridge. “We have ladies that tend to come every year so it's nice to change things up.”

All the proceeds from the evening's ticket sales go toward programs at the museum.

The museum is also gearing up for its other major fundraising event, their annual Spring Fling Dinner and Auction.

The Spring Fling will be held at the Delhi German Home on Apr. 3 and will feature a live and silent auction.

Tickets are available now and are $25 until Mar. 1, after which, they can be purchased for $30 a piece.
