Preparing for the ‘big day’ is no easy task.
Most brides and grooms want to have the perfect wedding and spend weeks if not months, planning for their trip down the aisle.
The 2013 Tillsonburg News Bridal Show (co-sponsored by Helsdon Photography) will be just the source for all those needing ideas, services and resources for their wedding day.
This year’s annual event takes place this Sunday (February 10) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Delhi Belgian Club.
“It’s a one-day event and this is the first year out in Delhi,” said event coordinator Brianne Guralski. “The reason why we moved it to Delhi was to expand the show and that was the closest, larger location that we could move to.”
Now in its 18th year, the Tillsonburg News and Helsdon Photography continue to co-sponsor an event providing brides and grooms access to a variety of vendors and exhibitors from around the region. There will be door prizes, including three grand prizes to be won and a hot lunch available for purchase. In addition, the bridal show will feature dozens of booths showcasing items couples need to consider when preparing for their big day.
Decorations, flowers, photographers, transportation, cake decorators, accommodation venues, health and fitness organizations and of course wedding attire - beautiful wedding gowns and tuxedos will be on display.
“There’s a ton of stuff. Vendor-wise there’s various cosmetic consultants, a hair salon, florists, and two fashion shows,” said Guralski. “The fashion shows are put on by Sew Stylish Wedding Works out of Ingersoll - they take care of the gowns, and the tuxedos are from Collins Formal Wear.”
Events like the Tillsonburg News Bridal Show are also a great way to check out current wedding trends in dress styles, locations, decor and wedding colours. Guralski noted one particular colour trend that seems to be popular this year is a pastel mint green.
The 2013 Tillsonburg News Bridal Show is a popular annual event that will showcase some great wedding planning ideas.
“It’s a mainstay in the community – people look forward to it,” said Guralski. “It’s something that’s built a name for itself.”
