Tillsonburg Indoor Soccer, Week 8 Results

Tues. Dec. 11

Pettman’s Auctioneering 7, Ontario Laser 6

Our opening game of the week turned out to be a huge victory for the Auctioneers resulting in their move into 1st place. It wasn’t easy though, as the Laser crew made a strong 2nd half run after trailing 6-3 and almost equalized late in the game. Auction got 2 apiece from Gerrit Pelleboer, Mike Beal and Kris Foreman, followed by a single from goalie Jared Pettman. The Laser gang got 2 from Ryan VanLeeuwen and singles from Jenn Whittington, Jerry Clergy, Scott Swance and goalie Erwin Loewen.

DoneRight Landscaping 6, Corey’s Restaurant 4

Our 2nd game was another close contest, with Corey’s opening up with a quick 3-0 lead. But DoneRight owned the 2nd outscoring them by a 5-1 margin and stealing the 2 points. The Landscaping crew got 2 from Donnie Evanitski and singles by Nathan Matos, Brandy Evanitski, Pete Rochus and goalie Neil Puente. Corey’s got a big hat trick from goalie Mike Mesquita and the single by Jason Martins.

Wed. Dec. 12

Signshop 8, Cocreo 8

The top standings are jamming up as Signshop steals a point with seconds on the clock. It was all even at 2 apiece at the half before one amazing 2nd half finish. With less than a minute on the clock, Cocreo’s Alexa Metselaar looked like she had the go ahead goal but Signshop’s goalie Cody Krashaar had one more shot from centre that found the inside crossbar to equalize. Signshop also got 3 from Jason Beard, 2 by Stephen DeGroote and singles from Jamie Lamont and Jill Yarmie. Cocreo got a hat trick from goalie Darryl Price, a double by Matt Davis, single from Andy Metselaar and another from Alexa Metselaar.

Danbrook Auto 9, Verne’s Carpet One 9

Our 2nd fixture of the evening was another exciting match up and with another late equalizer. Verne’s took a slim 6-5 1st half lead before Danbrook made it another exciting comeback run late in the 2nd notching it all even with minutes left on the clock. Verne’s Ryan Fitch led the way with 5 blasts, followed by 2 apiece from Thomas Cross and goalie Nolan Ambrus. Danbrook got a hat trick from Chad Lofthouse, a double by Jen Pathy and singles from Randy Diering, Nicole Danbrook, Rudi Vanittersum and goalie Tyler Danbrook.
