The Club Oxford Hockey League is combining efforts with the Tillsonburg Kinsmen Club to offer an expanded recreational hockey program for local students in Grades 3-7.

The target is boys and girls who are not currently enrolled in organized hockey. This is being offered at no cost. The ice time will be paid for and the costs for second-hand equipment will be covered.

An information package will soon be made available at the Tillsonburg elementary school your child attends.

Ice time will be offered on Thursdays and Fridays from 7-8 a.m. at the Tillsonburg Community Centre starting in the first week of January and continuing until the March Break.

Parents/guardians will need to make the necessary transportation arrangements to get participants to the rink and to school afterwards.

These sessions will be supervised by volunteer teachers who will provide some basic hockey training and organize scrimmage time with an emphasis on having fun.

Raffle tickets to finance this program will be sold at the Tillsonburg Thunder men’s hockey games during the month of December.

Club Oxford Hockey would also to recognize the Tillsonburg Optimist Club for their help in the past, and for the generous donation they made to this year’s campaign.

Anyone wishing to donate equipment to this project may do so at All Seasons Sports Exchange, located at 40 Broadway in Tillsonburg.

Questions or concerns can be directed to Mr. Dan Dube (teacher) at 688-1288 or Mr. Kim Alexander, president of Club Oxford Hockey, at 688-7363.
